| This course has two basic parts: Part 1 A three-day onshore classroom-training period, followed by: Part 2 A two-day offshore hands-on crane operation period where the course tutor will train/assess all aspects of the candidate’s crane operating abilities. NOTE: Due to the demands on offshore cranes and crane operators Part 2 very often cannot follow directly after Part 1, but ideally it should follow as soon as is practicable. Aims This course is designed to impart the necessary skills to: (a) A qualified crane operator who has minimal experience offshore, and (b) An experienced crane operator who wishes to obtain an offshore operating license. PART 2 OFFSHORE TRAINING Offshore hands-on crane operating. The tutor assesses and advises on: • Daily maintenance routines • Pre-start checks • Knowledge and understanding of crane safety devices, load charts, SLI etc • Driving ability • General attitude towards operations • Ability to work with a banksman • Radio procedures • Vessel work ability • Machine awareness • Emergency operating procedures • Ability to work on own initiative • Ability to perform weekly maintenance in presence of assessor |  

| OTHER INFORMATION Location For Part 1 • EnerMech Safety Training Centre, or: • Customer's premises if suitable facilities are available, or: • Suitable training centre located local to majority of course candidates. For Part 2 • Candidate’s normal offshore installation Lecturers: EnerMech Safety Training Staff Consultants Staff (NVQ D32/D33 accredited).
Clothing: For the offshore period of this course all candidates are required to provide their own protective clothing. (i.e. hardhat, safety boots, safety glasses, coveralls, gloves, etc. ) Dates: Arranged to mutual agreement of Company / Candidates / Consultants.
