Job Title: Crane Operator Job Location: Offshore - Aberdeen, UK Job Purpose To operate and carry out first line maintenance to offshore cranes in accordance with legislative, corporate and manufacturers recommendations. Main Responsibilities
- Operate Crane for installation and vessel lifts within crane design envelope, taking into consideration prevailing weather and sea states and current load
- Ensure constant clear and effective communication with deck crew and vessel crew
- Complete Pre-Use Checklists before commencing each shift
- Compliance with clients safe systems of work
- Carry out first line maintenance commensurate with the Operators skills and experience
- Ensure Good Housekeeping within Crane Cabin and machinery
- Coach and develop new staff members in safe operations of offshore cranes
- Undertake Emergency Response Activities as required
- Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported to EnerMech and the Installation Management immediately
- Ensure a safe and comprehensive shift handover is conducted and recorded
Job Qualifications and Experience Essential - Long Range Radio Certificate
- Helideck Team Member
Preferred- Banksman/Slinging Certificate
- Rigging Loft Management
- Basic Rigging Certificate
- Stage I, II or III Crane Operator Certificate
Personal Competence, Qualities & Skills- Work on own intitiative
- Ensure Crane Operations are within design perameters
- Clear and Effective Communications
- Build effective relationships at all levels of operations
