Online Hose Management system (OHM) PDF Print E-mail

To compliment EnerMech’s Hose Management survey programme, considerable time has been allocated in the development of an online hose management tool. This tool is web-based and allows the client full access to all critical information regarding FHA’s on specific assets.

We operate 2 versions of the Online Hose Management system; one has been designed for the management of fixed hoses contained within our clients owned equipment and installations. The other is utilised when EnerMech control the inspection, maintenance, repair, certification and replacement of an inventory or client mobile FHA’s.

Our Online Hose Management software has evolved from years of experience and has been tried and tested by the industry. This tool provides 24-7 access to all your hose specification and inspection information, as well as providing intelligent reporting functions. The reports can be run from anywhere in the world and saved for offline access in a variety of formats designed to suit the customer. The flexible design of the system means that we can adapt to our individual customer hose management requirements.

Radio Fequency Identification (RFID)

The vast majority of flexible hose assembly manufacturer’s adopt a basic method of identification and tagging. This method is highly impractical and is prone to damage and ozone degradation.

RFID tagging of each asset along with the use of powerful handheld devices allows us to keep accurate maintenance status and location information. This information is recorded directly by the engineer inspecting and managing the FHA (Flexible Hose Assembly), thus eliminating the paper trail back to the office and creating a streamlined communication between the client and their asset.

The benefits of using our RFID technique are:

  • Each FHA will be identified with a unique number by applying an RFID tag.
  • The tag will align the FHA with the EnerMech Online Hose Management.
  • The RFID tag is the most robust method of identification.
  • The lifetime of the tag will certainly exceed any other method and is less prone to damage by any ozone or industrial conditions.
  • No long term maintenance is expected.
  • Other methods such as barcodes are prone to read reliability issues over the lifetime expectancy.
